There are times that I totally get away with being haphazard on the organisation front
but I am starting to realise that it isn't always the best approach
when you have a million things on the go, and this week has been epic on that front
and as a consequence things have become a touch unravelled.
I am someone who likes to have plenty going on
I like to think it feeds my creativity but to be honest it is more likely that
I get bored in about two minutes flat and need variety of my head explodes
but this week I have totally NOT gotten away with it
The house has ventured beyond mild bomb site into full on disaster zone
it turns out embarking on the epic declutter of 2016 and pulling every item out of every cupboard and then getting distracted and spending the week on illustrations and painting various loveliness like the new Daisy Dream Blush perfume, and this nail polish doesn't mix.
I have managed to trip over, stub my toes and bang my shins about 58 times
I am a mass of band aids and bruise cream and have no clue where anything is
Walking anywhere in the house must be taken on with a spirit of adventure and a fearless lust for danger and a delicious frisson of fear is stalking our every move
the earth moves under our feet constantly... and not in that good way
and our dismounts from various rooms have become the thing of family legend
Barry the cat is in heaven and sees it all as a personal quest to discover more and more unlikely places to hide and burrow and it is a small miracle he hasn't been squished
On the plus side, illustrations have been completed
some painting done to restore sanity
the postcard packs are up and available in the print shop
a new video went up on youtube outlining my favourite materials... at the moment
I am almost ready to have the Delicious Paint Class go live
and I got the print orders out in a timely fashion... so not a write off
it turns out that being practically walled into the studio due to the studio avoidance of dealing with declutter debris is quite conducive to getting work done
the list however, is still huge, and the clutter is not magically walking itself outside so the time has come to leave the relative safety of the studio and venture into the fray
wish me luck and happy painting all...xx

Housecleaning will always be there waiting.
Deadlines don't wait.
I think you made a wise choice. ;)
Fabulous art. Happy PPF
It all sounds good to me... I'd want to turn a blind eye on the clutter too. It certainly looks like the current state of affairs suits you, because you're cooking on gas lady! Just look at what you've achieved! Stunning artwork as usual.
Just watch those sharp corners and Billy!
By the way I loved the video too :D xoxo
Oops no idea who Billy is... maybe it's the new housekeeper come to help? Just watch that Barry too xx
Hmm that sounds familiar although in fairness I have my mother's butterfly mind and am so easily distracted that one minute I'm in the middle of a painting, next I go to the bathroom and suddenly end up clearing out the cupboard under the sink and an hour or so goes by before I get back to my painting then I wonder why I'm not making much progress!!
I love that you're painting perfume bottles again - I recently got new bedding in our bedroom and ensured that it would still coordiate with my beautiful 'lovely' perfume bottle!!
The nail polish bottle is fab too - you make such ordinary items look amazing on paper!
You're on a roll! Let it go, the moment you clean up the muse shall hide in some crevasse not to be found for weeks on end... you will be sitting there with ner a dust bunny in site....boring..... don't stress the mess....just don't stop til you drop...so this is where all the cliches come from...hmmm.... enjoy...everything is looking beautiful...coming back tomorrow to watch your video!!
Hug Giggles
Thanks for the video on your art naterials, enjoyable and useful.
Looks like a very useful sharpener.
thanks for sharing your favorite supplies Tracey, and your illustrations are again, brilliant!!
I always enjoy your art and today we got a peek at your supplies. Thank you! And happy PPF
I HAVE LEARNED TO IGNORE MESSES!!!! YAY!!!! Took me for-fricking-ever! And i have to admit I am better when I am not multitasking, but committing to no more than two paintings.
Buying that sharperner and that fricking stuff....
Hi Tracey. Hope all is good with your. Love all of your work. Enjoyed the video. Take care.
Beautiful art and thanks for interesting video.
Happy weekend to you ♥
Thanks for sharing your wonderful art and video. I will admit it. I am a clean freak. Even when I am sick I have to make sure things are in order and clean. With that said, hee hee hee when I am in the middle of an art project the art room does look like a bomb hit it. Have a great weekend.
I love all you showed this week, Tracey, and especially your video. It was very helpful.
There are three nice ones. Luv the flowers best
happy PPF. I'm happy you dropped in to see mine
Much love...
Love all your pieces this week Tracey!
And thanks for sharing that nice video!
GOD I love watching what other artists use!! I think I'm a voyeur, I need help. I'd watch those kind of videos over and over, hehehe. You, my friend, look like you need me to send over my cleaning fairies. Consider them sent, although I'm not sure what happens when they're flattened in the envelope. ;o) With all that clutter you're still so prolific. I'll send you the fairies, you send me a little of your get up and go, deal? xxoo
gorgeous work ! ♥
I need to declutter as well - but right now everything is still piled. Love your artwork.
Oh, sounds so familiar! I'd love to have a cleaning lady or a man, it would be so much easier to walk here, much safer, less band-aids!
Your pictures are so delicious looking, they scream me to buy all kind of wonderful things, although I don't use perfume and it's no use to paint my nails, because they're already in paint.
Great work ;) and thanks for visitng and leaving such a nice comment - have a beautiful weekend and Happy PPF
Blush Crush! xox
Well for someone who is easily distracted, you sure do get a lot done!! And I would much rather say I had got lots of painting done, than lots of housework! Trouble is with housework is, that in no time at all it all needs doing again! Still, I am one of those that can not function among mess, so unfortunately painting often comes second to a tidy house. Then once in a while I rebel and just paint. I'm always glad I did. I should learn! Anyway, I LOVE your illustrations! As always they have so brightened my day!! :0)
Wishing you all the best with the decluttering!!! our posts sound similar in the decluttering part. But instead of a cat I have two girls that love to explore all the mess and make more mess. LOL Wishing you the best with everything and I adore your art as always! Hugz!
That mess sounds familiar, only here it isn't because of decluttering. I don't understand how much mess I can make in a few days, but hey, it seems to be following me. Lovely work and yet another good video.
Wow, how I love your paintings, they are so lovely! I've been avoiding decluttering for a while, I need to find a way to force myself into it, but there's so many other things I'd like to do more...
Well, you still got a LOT done this week, and you even made a video .... Sounds to me like you did get away with it :-)
Loved that video. If you get any time in your incredibly busy schedule I would love to see a list of the items in the vid. Some of them I could not quite hear, and would love to get. I think you said A. Wade brushes bt I was not quite sure. Thanks so much. xo
love your illustrations, absolutely stunning
