I Know It's Cheesy...

I know it is cheesy
but I feel grate...
and not just because I finally got to use that pun
which, quite frankly, I have been storing for months
but because this week I had all of my one year scans and CT's
and poor lefty was podded, poked and squished
by the last twenty remaining people in the city who hadn't previously done so
and after a very long few days waiting for results
I was given the all clear for my first milestone
No evidence of disease and no evidence that it has spread
so if that isn't reason to feel grate then I don't know what is

In celebration of one year down and just four to go to be called cured
I went all out and drew
my grater
which goes to show how seriously I wanted to use that pun
but of course it was a touch boring and weird looking sitting on the page alone
and I didn't feel like drawing cheese
that would be too cheesy and punny even for me
so the food processor got a run

I tried to process some puns that were appropriate
but that is embarrassingly lame
and after I had drawn it I realised that I have this other grater thing that I could have drawn
which is actually really cool and brightly coloured and interesting shape
it would have been a much better piece of work
but it didn't occur to me until too late
and I am not so into the pun that I would start again
so it is a mildly boring take on such fabulous news

But it is fabulous news no matter how bland the celebratory drawing
and I satisfied my constant need for bright colour
by redrawing my pencil box from the tutorial thing from Tuesday's post
well it almost satisfies it... but not quite
I am feeling the need for brighter, stronger colour so I am off to work on more perfume bottles
happy painting all...xx

I'm first! I'm first, I'm first, I'm first!! Skippety do-dah! And that's only because it's stoopid o'clock - well, 01.35 to be precise ;) But I HAD to catch up after soopid puta malfunctions this evening and an uber busy day (not like me at all - it must stop!), Otherwise I would not have slept and got up anyway. *sigh* sad I know...Abyhoo, THIS way, I get to sing, 'I'm first' and I got to post my tribute to those clebrating Independence Day. That's a little liek you really my friend. Celeberating some independence for old leftie who is on the way to saying 'leave me the flip alone'! Ce-le-brate good times. Come on!!
Btw, I think your mixer and grater are grate. Just grate! Had to say it twice, it's worth it! :D
Happy happy joy joy to you dear Tracey, many more to come, and now I'm off to bed (((hugs)))

Hehe! I've got the same grater (in red and black). I thought it was so 'grate' that I bought my Mother-In-Law one. She said "Oh, I've never had one of these before" and I replied "So how do you grate cheese?" and she said "I guess I just buy grated cheese". LOL! Duh.

Here's to being given the ALL CLEAR! Woo hoo! xoxo

Well, no one loves cheesy puns more than me and I agree with you, that is the gratest news EVER, honey chile!!!!!!!!

Your work didn't seem boring to me. How you can make a food processor look stately and regal and even slightly sexy - no, not in the least bit boring to me!! And, of course, that little royal blue grater is the BOMB. I've never seen one like that adorable cutie!!

Keep up the good work! You make me smile hugely!! Hugs, Darnell

A grate cheesy pun post after hearing such grate news!!! Here's to hearing the same grate news over the next four years of annual scans.

I gotta get me one of those graters. Who would have thought that a kitchen aid and grater could look so awesomely cool...you have the magic touch, girl.

Have a fabulous weekend! xx

Your grate-fulness at the FABULOUS news has me chuckling, while also doing handsprings of happiness! Yay for passing the first milestone!
I also have a grater of the same type, blue even. Although I cannot draw it as well.
Tracey, you have the gift of turning the everyday into something special.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Tracey,
Your news is wonderful. I'm not sure Scooter was grateful for you pun. My guffaw over your pun woke him from a fine nap he is taking and now he seems to be practicing giving me the evil eye for disturbing his beauty sleep. I am so very happy for your good news. I hope lefty can have some peace and quiet now that every doctor in Australia has given her attention.

I absolutely adore your kitchen gadget drawings! And the studio shots! And all that brain frying doesn't seem to have had the remotest effect on your drawing abilities - though your jokes are admittedly getting even worse, lol! But who doesn't love a bit of cheese and when better to share a chunk with you than now?? The news is awesome and I am so glad things can finally get back to normal for you at last!!! Hurrah!!!!!! :0D
