It would appear that my lazy arsed cleaning fairies snuck in one night
while I was asleep and kidnapped my creative mojo
I suspect they have it out on the town somewhere doing who knows what
to who knows whom, and basically causing no end of trouble
bloody fairies.... nothing but trouble from day one
Of course it could be that the fairies are completely innocent
And there are other reasons for my mojo taking an unscheduled breather
But it is more fun to continue to wage war
on those unreliable sods that never turn up to do the cleaning
I do like to have a good reason for my mojo deserting me so that I don't get too introspective and start thinking it may be me... I relish my status as a shallow pond and have no intention of getting into deep and meaningfuls of any sort
After all it couldn't be that Phantom Steve has started uni and that has required a couple of weeks of changing schedules and timetables, plus having her coming and going is doing the dogs head in...poor thing doesn't know what is going on ...
Plus I have started radiation and am two weeks in with four to go, and while it is in no way anywhere near as debilitating as chemo, it is kinda annoying
I am managing to nail the landings off the machine bed thingy every day though there have been some close calls and it is only a matter of time before it all goes horribly wrong
Of course while lying there last night being zapped I did consider that perhaps all that study I did for my masters majoring in creativity theory may have been wrong and rather than my brain governing my creative decision making processes perhaps my creativity is in fact centred in my armpit, or poor lefty, and the zapping by the radiation was frying my creativity
A bit of a slightly alarming thing to consider I know, but it made perfect sense at the time
This every week day thing for treatment is messing with our already messy schedules which reside in our messy house... Which is messy because the bloody fairies did a bunk months ago... See it all comes back to them...
So what have I done while my muse is off partying ..... I tried to kick start it by not thinking too much about images or anything like that and just get something onto paper
So this week is all about repeated images... I used these four teacups for one of the weeks of the Documented Life Project journal and liked them so I decided to use them again ... and again... and put them on a notebook ... and a card ... and if the dog had of sat still long enough they would have appeared on him also
But it has done its job and messy life aside I am feeling the ideas coming thick and fast again
and I am itching to get in and draw up some new things and maybe finish off some of the stack of work that has taken up permanent residence on my desk
happy painting everyone and huge happy birthday to Paint Party Friday
It is simply the best place for creative types to get together online...
Thanks to Eva and Kristin for organising it every week xx

Beautiful colours and line work Tracey! Glad the mojo is returning.
Hi Tracey. Glad to see you and hopefully everything will return back to normal soon. Love you teacups as always. Happy PPF and today is the birthday day for PPF. Time to celebrate. Take care of yourself Tracey.::sending you healing prayers::
I'm pretty sure your mojo and your muse is in a tea cup -- and tea bag and tea pot. So methinks you're doing the right thing. Thanks for the great post. Stay messy -- it suits you.
Beautiful work my friend! A messy house can wait - rest, heal, repeat! The end is in sight and you will be back to 100% before you know it. Be kind to yourself! xx Christine
My mojo leaves when I am tired and/or in too much pain. So I discovered that my body is not only the boss of me but it is the boss of my mojo, too--LOL!
Love those teacups! Thank goodness you are down to a few weeks left. I hope it goes by quickly for you so you can heal and get back to normal daily life. ;)
Love and hugs!! :):)
The fairies are hugely unpredictable and do tend to take great enjoyment in messing with us. My best guess is that your mojo will flood back in and you will be firing on all cylinders before you know it. I have heard that chocolate works wonders on sluggish mojo :)
The cups are lovely and repetition helps to build routine and routine will lead to nothing but fabulousness. M.x
lovely teacups Tracey!
wonderful colors for your amazing teacups!
Your post made me think of my cousin who grew up miles form civilization in the forests of Mozambique where Granddad had a culling license to be able to "shoot for the pot" so they would have food...One day when my cousin was about 7 he was handing biscuits out for tea to my Grans friends. There was a jam one that he wanted, but Granny said if he put it closest to him on the plate, it would be safe as it is rude to stretch and no one would take it...true enough no one did and he went outside to eat it where it immediately fell jam first into the dust. He came inside to ask Gran if fairies had blood (cos in our house it is always the fairies fault too) and when she told him no and asked why...he said "cos I want to shoot them! My biscuit is all full of dust!"
So here's hoping your bloodless "bloody fairies" turn up soon, give you back your mojo and clean up the place!
Tracey...the fairies might have, but your sense of humour hasn't, deserted you.... nor have your drawing skills. I love reading your posts. You are the essence of uplifting. Wishing you all that you would wish for yourself...and more.
It's good to see your art and hear your humor once more! I hate that you have to endure being zapped! I really do think you have been through quite more than enough! I sigh a huge sigh for you and all this. Now I'll focus on visualizing it all doing what it needs to do to get you well already! Let's raise these lovely cups to that, shall we? L'hiam! To Life! And yes, PPF is awesome as it is how I met you!!! Xo
Sounds like a case of the Brisbane blighters!! Little so and so's took off with mine too!!
Loving the tea cups Tracey x
Good to hear you are back at it even without your mojo. Most of us with some mojo struggle just to keep up with you. Hope the zapping is not toooo bad. Xox
Great teacups Trace.......the mojo is such a fickle thing and it doesn't take much for it to pack its bags and go off on its hols. Mine is always going off in a huff for some reason or another, tempremental little b....r Wishing you well through this very difficult time Trace. Happy PPF, Annette x

oh those fairies can be wicked sometimes! Your cups are gorgeous Tracey- I just love the colors. Here's to wishing you a quick recovery from the radiation treatments! XO
If we lived closer Trace I'd think your fairies and mine were off together...heaven knows where because mines done a runner too!
Maybe all the noise and dust around here got too much for their delicate natures.
Gorgeous artwork so I suspect everything is working out okay now and you're back up and at 'em!
Brilliant ;D
Take care xoxo
I think those fairies have nicked my cleaning mojo - if you see them can you send them back! Its great you have your creativity working! Beautiful paintings as always xx

Love the tea cups! The fairies have been visiting me and working in the garden. I'll ask if they have seen your fairies; get a message to them; and get them back to you. Hugs!
Beautiful colours and cups :)
Tracey ma-dear....you are an inspiration.... a delight.....
blessing to you and yours.
I have lazy arse fairies too, but they not only steal mojo, they come in every night and mess my hair while i sleep....and rub makeup all over my face....darn lazy arse fairies... :)
Cynthia♥
Love your tea cups and love your positivity. Thinking of you every day my friend. Hugs xx
Well I can't believe that you come up with these BEAUTIFUL teacups with a missing mojo!!! When my mojo goes walkabout, it takes my creative skills with it and hides it completely!
These are completely gorgeous!!! Love them! And I have no doubt you will be feeling fine and dandy again soon :0)
Hi, Tracey. So good to be visiting your blog again in celebration of PPF's 3rd birthday!
Glad to hear that you're feeling filled up with ideas and creativity. I always love seeing your work. These teacups are great!
Those fairies never take care of their work at my house either. What is up with them? They must be off partying themselves.
Sending healing thoughts your way.
Love your teacup art, Tracey. Your life at the moment seems a bit busy with everyone off in different directions and your radiation sessions. For Lent, I started a prayer journal. I am adding you on this date. I often pray for you but this will remind me better.
Your lesson in repetition is a good one, I hear, that I keep meaning to play with and then get so flipperty that I forget that should be doing it, so thanks! And they turned out beautifully! Yes, my fairies often wander out the door so I totally get that they can be flipperty, too, but I think you've outsmarted them and come up with a bit of creativity without them! Yay you! Kristin (the oTHER one!)
Wonderful tea cups! I'm glad they are re-awakening your mojo. I'm thinking of you as you go through this stage of the treatments, and wishing I was closer so I could play a cleaning fairy who does her job. :)
I too, would rather blame lack of creativity on those fairies.. they show now remorse.
Love the repeats to get the mojo back. Nothing like kicking the fairies to the curb. I'm off to discover paint party friday.
xo
I love your stunning repeats just about as much as I love you! You need a gnome to keep watch on those fairies.....SINUS!!! Can he hear me calling?...... SINUS.....get the whip out for those varmint fairies.... tell them to clean the house and bring back Traceys MOJO....she needs it bad!! Loving you lots Tracey!
Hugs Giggles
Ahh, dearest Tracey, you never fail to make me smile :D The bloody fairies cleared out on me long ago and I'm pretty sure they emigrated to some long forgotten den of iniquity in the Bahamas where they lounge about sipping pina coladas and nibbling on Bounty bars whilst taking the p out of the happless touristas who are getting sunburnt trying to forget the pile of dishes they left in the kitchen back home hoping the local fairies would get around to clearing them away befeore they got back home.
Bloody fairies indeed!
Now where the heck all that just came from I have o idea, but I hope it made you smile too :O)
Chin up old bean, you're nearing the end **hugs** Mo :o) x
btw - I love the colours on the cups - but you know that anyway don't you :o) x
I hope life will be back to normal very soon for you and those darned fairies get their act together, lol :-)
Happy Paint Party Friday! You are so creative, thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend :) Tam
Hi Tracey, So happy to see your post! I was missing my "Tracey fix" each day! Bravo for jumping in and painting (even though you think they are minus your missing mojo) - I love all your teacups - they inspire me to paint each day even though I'm just a beginner. You're in my thoughts and prayers as you radiate that armpit!
Glad to wee you posting again. I LOVE tea cups, so why not have them painted everywhere? I see noting wrong with that!
Sending you hugs and prayers.
Maybe your mojo has been sneaking off with Phantom Steve for trips to the university -
Love the colors of your teacups - so striking!
Love the colors that you used and your beautiful line work! I definitely know what you mean about the lack of motivation/creativity lately. I've been too tired to create much of anything. lol

Hi Trace,
Good to hear you be so inspired with artful thoughts. Even being under the weather you still shine through. I wish you well and quick recovery from the treatments. Keep strong and positive : )
Annabelle xxx
your mojo needs some jojo girl...big stuff going on, maybe the fairies just couldn't keep up! love your cups, i don't care where they came from...xoxo be careful hopping off that darn bed!
You are one strong and inspirational woman! Love your tea cups! Wonderful and stay strong!
those are some lovely teacup paintings, especially for a girl with no MOJO... glad to stop by and see you are still as clever and talented as ever, mojo or no!
It's so great to see you back! Your illustrations are wonderful as always. And say...how about I talk to those mojo fairies?... ;)
xoxo
oh Tracey, you keep such a wonderful sense of humor, I am so glad to be back blogging, this program I have for the blind is super duper!!Take care my far away friend, everytime I have tea I think of you,
Creativity theory? Oh my, that sounds serious! Although it would be nice to think that there was some scientific explanation to why I just don't seem to get anywhere. I'm glad you're mojo's coming back, your tea cups are certainly beautiful. Totally love the colours in them.
I haven't said hi in awhile - so glad to see you're hanging in there (though it's still such a nasty process) and that you ARE finding time and energy for art. There are all sorts of sayings about just showing up to do the work and the creativity will come. Who cares whether you live in a messy house with a messy schedule and messy hair if you still can make time for a little drawing or to throw a bit of paint around??? Embrace the mess and relish the paint! Be well.
