Day whatever it is of AEDM finds my desk full of half done
and just started drawings and paintings
which is just how I like it because I tend to have the attention span of a gnat with ADHD
this way I never get bored and there is always something to go on with as one work is drying
or if it reaches a really frustrating part then I can put it aside
and work on something that will stop my brain exploding
So the table is looking full of exciting bits
and I have a whole heap of sketched ideas and drawings ready to go this afternoon
and if I don't get them down while I can
then I will completely be unable to understand my chicken scrawl thumbnail sketches
and the crazy cryptic notes I write to myself
I really have to stop writing myself notes without my glasses on
I used to keep all the scrawled notes
thinking it would somehow come clear what I was thinking
but it never does
so now I just chalk it up to a brain fart and move on
So I am going to be rushing through my chores
so I can get at all the fun on my desk
or swivel my chair and look at my canvases I have started
and the drawings and paintings in various states of finish
and know that I have weeks of creative fun ahead of me
and it doesn't matter if I muck one up because I have plenty of others to get on with
it is the best creative insurance policy going ... xx
The last two posts have been ....

oh my gosh.. look at how organized you are. Talented AND organized. I cant stand it. :)) Will we be seeing some of these on PPF when done? Its fun to see your work space. Enjoy!! :)
LOVE all the sneak peeks at what we will be enjoying this month!!
WOW!!!
Your space is amazing! I LOVE all the white - the cups of pencils to die for - and all the white storage and boxes are brilliant. I love the paintings hanging up too - and LOVE those orange shoes ;)
Really cool, have fun in there! xoxo
wow so nice and tidy and love the pencil containers so practical...

Off to bed but wanted to check in and YES you have your AEDM up already! Goodness gracious you're half a world away AND half a day away!! I love seeing these photos of your space. You've got alot on the burner, that is terrific. And I totally get the ADHD situation, I'm right there with you.
Love FranT XO
What's going on, you sound so organized? :) have fun..
Love your work space, so freash and organized, beautiful!
You say you have the attention span of a knat, yet you still manage to colour-code your pencils... Hmm.... something you're not telling us. Does Phantom do it for you? Confess woman!!
I had a painting frenzy last night - like some sort of woman possessed. I can recommend a couple of glasses of vin rouge for getting the creativity flowing!
fabulous organized .. AMAZING!
I would say you are in a good place right now, just perfect, everything just set in place for some good times and beautiful art to come out of it all!
First of all; I love your workspace! And I also always have lots of unfinished things laying around. It sparks my creativity I think.
I always have multiple projects going on concurrently and multiple books too. It is the best way to work!
I am so jealous of your work space, so much going on yet so organized and clean and inviting. I have alot started as well but since it's scattered all over my house and office at work it's not as inviting, more like chaos...
I wish my workspace looked so organised. Love the peek at your sketches.
I found a big old smile on my face whilst reading this!!!
I have such fun imagining up people I know and am getting to know who are, to me, totally face-less.
Seeing your work[play?!] space is filling in the imagined sketch in my head of you!!!
;~D
Fabulous - I'm the same way, several projects jumbled together on my dining room table, working on a bit of this and a bit of that! And I, too, write notes to myself without glasses on, so anxious to get thoughts down!
Beautiful things you are doing - so fun to visit your blog!
Oh my goodness! I am in love with it all...your workspace...your artwork...your witty writing style...all so inspiring and simply fabulous!
Blimey!
I thought I had plenty of ideas, but you've taken it to a whole new level! Not to mention being organised.
All my WIP are piled up on a chair (away from errant paint splashes) and in danger of teetering over the edge. Maybe I should finish something before starting 2 new things.
What a great idea to ensure you never lose any of your inspirational ideas!
These are simply fabulous beginnings. I had to laugh because you sounded like me not being able to read my chicken scratch ideas. After about an hour, my brain has frozen and I no longer remember what I had planned. As always, I love your sketches and drawings.
oh my, sweetie, look at all the pppuuurrrtttty work stacked up. That large canvas is inspired, I can just imagine it done, it would look so cool on a wall. But I guess that;s the point, huh? lol.
I've actually done the exact same thing, four drawn up or inked in my new large journal, one on paper and one half started in my moleskine. But I'm BEHIND already this morning, should have finished something last night to post. Grrr, I'll get the hang of it soon!
Much love
Jenn
Lovely space and I love the multitude of pen pots - heavenly. Several pieces on the go at once is normal isn't it? ;) Mo x
You have a rainbow on your workdesk ... how cool is that!! At least, i see rainbow when looking at your cups of colors.
Finally - I'm able to get around and see what everyone's been up to and as usual your drawings are so smiley! I mean they make me smiley. I've had major computer issues (crash, new one, crash, another new one....) so have been not so smiley lately! I'm committing to AEDM as well -hopefully my computer will let me show and tell.
I love your sketching/drawing - the way you pull from around your house (or just your work desk) and each one evokes a feeling! Thanks!
that little notes thing? I do that with blog notes - especially during AEDM since I'm not in the habit of blogging daily anymore. Except I never remember what the note meant or why it seemed to spectacular when I decided to jot it down. But that's okay - so far I'm all over the place in what I"m posting and that's good - it means I'm stratching. Love your space. Look at all that work! totally inspiring!
OMG I have to say you actually look more organized that I thought you might!!!! No offence!!!!
I LOVE your super duper colour co ordinated pencil pots!
Ha ha I do the same with the scrawled notes!!!!
I like your creative insurance policy style :)
Karenx
your sketches are such fun! LOVE your organisation too.
You are drawing so lovely, and wow - that was quite a lot of pencils!! :O Whe I see your table I think it's time to clean up mine! my table is just a mess! :O :))
You make me smile so big with your writing about your world! I would give my eye teeth to have a fraction of your energy and talent! So refreshing. And your comments yesterday on the Absurdi-tea was hilarious. Yes you should make a line of Reali-tea cups.
Love all the teacups and things. And your studio is so organized...all those little cups full of pencils!
Love all your drawings, in all stages and thanks for taking us behind the scenes!
Don't women just love to look into other people's homes? I always feel like a snooper, but I can't help myself. I like to see how people live and I can honestly say I don't live like you! So neat! I do know we all clean up well for pictures but I don't think I could even straighten my stash or tidy it to look as good.
Love your tea cups, the ones in my house would read ambigui-tea, negativi-tea, scarci-tea, absurdi-tea, anxie-tea ....wow I could go on, this is too much fun!
You are so organised Tracey.
And you say you're not organized!!
What a wonderful idea! Having all those various projects started is an excellent way to never have artist's block.
You are just so damn talented, lady! I just stare at all your drawings with delight. :)
