Huge thanks to everyone for entering the give away
and huge welcome to the new followers
it is a little overwhelming that so many of you want to be part of the fun
but completely awesome too... it has made it all a great week
I will be drawing it this evening and will post the results in the morning
and seeing as so many have entered I decided I will also draw an extra three names
and they will receive an fine art print of the painting that is my header ...
but lets move onto my painting week
I have spent this week working on a commission and playing catch up
and fuelling the mad frenzy of work
and getting me through the madness that is our normal week
have been these new teas from Twinings
The packaging is totally awesome
and I spent a few spare moments sketching them up
and while I didn't quite nail the magnificence of the actual boxes
it was lots of fun to get in and paint them
and I will revisit them when the schedule lightens up a bit
but it was fun none the less
They taste great too
especially the Blossom one
and the Jasmine one
that pair are simply delicious
I am a total sucker for citrus and jasmine scented teas
and the lavender one is lovely
though not quite loving it as much
maybe the Lavender is a bit calming
and I soooo don't need calming
well actually I probably do as I have been running around like a headless chicken all week
and can I say it doesn't look right typing headless chicken
over here we would say headless chook
but I still remember the confusion of Sinus asking where to find the hot chooks
when we lived in Florida... the puzzled looks were a crack up
which is a shame as I love the word chook... you get to be crook as a chook
which probably makes no sense as I am not aware that chickens often get sick
but I love the saying none the less
So wishing everyone a happy Friday over at PPF
and at APR where I am sneaking into the pair themes by saying
that I have a pair of new favourite teas... and a spare...
I am off to work out how I to best draw the paintings
the cup of entries is looking a wonderfully full ....xx
If you haven't entered then head over here and add your name
I will update this post and let you know if I have closed it
and done the draw ...
the draw has now closed and been done
I will be posting the results very soon...xx
the link to the winners post is here....
My last two post links are here ...

they are amazing! Beautiful for sure!!
Absolutely wonderful Trace! There is so much energy and excitement in these Twinings paintings. I just can't stop looking at them. For a moment there I thought Twinings had commissioned you to paint these and they were going to be on their new teas! They are just lovely. I'd by the tea just for your images if they were on them. Luckily I like tea and it would be an added bonus to drink it :) This is the first I've heard of the new range, I'll have to look for them when I'm in the shops next.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Makes me want to get my hands on that tea. xx
may have to start drinking tea the packets are soooooo beautiful or at least your depiction!

I love your tea ladies, they are better than the original packets. Maybe you should approach Twinings and have them use your paintings instead :)
Perfect pairs and yummy tea. I'm having strawberries and cream tea today.
I love the word chooks too, in fact I used it in a post ages ago and got some people asking what they were!!
Chooks must be unique to Australia and I kinda like that it is.
Von.
These ladies rock! I have to find some of these fabulous tea boxes you always have. Our tea boxes are plain with just boring text. Very exciting about your give away!
I agree, the packaging is totally awesome! Especially your version. Love, love, love!
Love, love, love them!
I much prefer your beautiful illustrations and vibrant colors!! Just gorgeous!! They should commission you for the next boxes...amazing artist that you are!!
My fav tea is orange tazo sweet orange tea also tranquility!! Starbucks used to sell the orange tea!
Good job!
Happy ppf...have a great weekend!
Hugs Giggles
I love these new tea paintings - they look fabulous all up on the wall together. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my name gets pulled in the draw for the pear painting or in fact any of your paintings - I'd be delighted to hang a Tracey Fletcher King print in our new Scottish cottage whenever we finally get there! As for chook - being an avid watcher of Home and Away once upon a time, I became familiar with quite a bit of the Aussie Slang - e.g Alf and his flamin' gallah!! I also love the Underbelly series - you Aussie do some great gritty shows as well as the fluffy soaps and you did of course produce the late, great Heath Ledger (sigh). Anyway, I can imagine plenty of battery chooks get crook so probably a pretty apt saying after all!
I got some sample sachets of those teas when purchasing some souvenir tea in London, and I kept them forever, because I found the illustrations so beautiful! There was one Christmas/winter one, too, so lovely. Very inspiring! Haven't seen those in Finland yet... Your versions are super beautiful!
Love the tea paintings (love twinings tea as well. I love the Blossom flavour best. We use the word chook in NZ as well, think you guys stole it from us like lamingtons, pav, etc etc. lol
The dresses on your paintings are so beautiful, in fact your paintings are so much better than Twinings originals on the packets
wow! your twining ladies are awesome! indeed, inspiration is everywhere! alpha shanahan #28

They're gorgeous! A good cup of tea makes the world go round, doesn't it?
I still use chook, and other Australian expressions, despite being Dutch and living in England these days.. I get a few funny looks, but the phrases feel natural and delightful to me so I'm sticking with them :)
wow will have to look out for those packets of tea. Totally gorgeous paintings.Happy PPF, Annette x
May I just add I prefer your Twinning Ladies to the original muted versions. Yours are more vibrant, inviting and full of life and vitality like tea should be. Well done you. Shame Twinnings didn't ask you first...
Beautiful three, great job, your range of colors are more vivid and evocative than the original Saludos
They are all splendid. I bet you could be fully employed by Earl Grey company to create their next range of woman. They all look so lovely- and young too- what about some earl grey boxes with us grey haired people on them? We too drink tea. LOL Happy PPF.
what a fun Life you lead, drinking tea and painting, sketching, drawing, pondering...
BEautimous!!!
Well, I like your ladies better than the originals! Lovely colours and expressions. And I looove your cup full of entries ....
I totally love your tea girls! :)) You should do more of them. :)
Beautiful work ~ you are so lucky to have 'your style' clear to you ~ I am still all over the place ~ wonderful colors, composition and design ~ ( A Creative Harbor) ^_^
Tracey, I haven't seen these boxes before. Your paintings of them are fantastic. All I can say is that the beauty of the boxes might induce me to buy one even though I cannot stand the flavor of bergamot.
These are beautiful! I think Twinings should get in touch with you for their next series of tea boxes.
your tea ladies are awesome! love!
seriously! such beaut-tea!
You certainly have a way with a watercolor brush - these ladies are just gorgeous. Painting those dresses must have been so much fun...all that blending and flowing of colors. All for a very rich result. I choose the orange and purple 'pair'! :) Though I don't drink tea or pay attention to the packaging (until I see it here), it certainly seems to provide a wealth of inspiration!
Those tea packages are indeed beautiful and your renditions even more so!
Ah your Twinings ladies are every bit as lovely as I knew they'd be! Gorgeous-ness! I love the way you did the colors on their skirts- too beautiful!
xx
Stephanie
P.S. Still smiling over "Crook as a Chook" LOVE it!
Oh they look wonderful! Great job with the paintings. Good tea too.:) Happy PPF!
Tracey, your work is incredble. Orange seems to be my favorite color this season and your lady in orange is spectacular. Now, I am off to buy and then enjoy a different flavor of tea. You inspire me in so many ways. Thank you.
Loving this Twinings series of paintings and the lush colors in the gowns! Absolutely splendid!!
♥♥♥
Happy PPF!!

bee u tea full.......what gorgeous tea boxes!! I am a sucker for citrus too...I drink Mandarine Grapefruit tea. I just had a watercolor workshop with Fashion,,,these gowns would have fit right in.
Your paintings of these new teas are great, I haven't seen them in the shops here yet, must take a gander. Oh, and we say chooks too.
SO SO SO look forward to your art. Your work is so inspiring, yes I've said it before but I'm such a big fan! I'm so excited to see what everyone is up to this week. I love all the inspiration....feeds my soul. Lucky to have you guys! The colors you use are so amazing. I love the Jasmine Earl Grey especially.
I love the dramatic colours this week!
Wow! What a novel idea, to have colorfully dressed ladies on the tea boxes. That could be collectible art! I love your paintings of them. I used to get the box of tea with the Asian lady behind a stone wall on it. maybe it was an orange flavor. I loved the box!
Those boxes can't be any prettier than your watercolors. They are just gorgeous and the colors - oh my! Happy PPF!
Your ladies are amazing!!! I love the flow of color and variation on their dresses-you are so inspiring! Happy PPF!
Now I must go try these teas. Your paintings of the boxes are really lovely. I'm about frozen today, so definately need some tea to warm me up from the inside out. Wonderful post. Happy PPF
Wait. I missed a give away? Ah well, at least I didn't miss your birthday! I love the word chook and think I need to incorporate it. As pass the chook noodle
Soup?
Maybe not.
xo

Your versions are lovely Happy PPF!
This is such a great idea. I've been working (after a very long absence) with my field sketch box as I find the paints in it much harder to work with than my normal paints (M. Graham watercolours, which I adore.) It would be fun to do something like these. (Well, it's all fun right now!)
I love your style, truly.
Love your pair and a spare. Jasmine tea is one of my favorites. Not that I drink tea a lot, but of the flavored teas I like Jasmine and Chamomile. Pretty boxes! :)
WOW, Trace! The fluidity of your watercolors are just strikingly AMAZING! I am especially partial to the first one - I love orange. Well done!
Just FabulousTracy! Have you tried a lavender martini? Off to explore more of your works and pinterest:) Happiest PPF to you!
Love these paintings and forgive your dog for (s)not picking my name in your giveaway!!!
Beautiful colours Tracey! I'm not a big tea drinker but I really must look out for these new ones. The boxes themselves make them very inviting, but I really quite fancy trying them out. I may leave the lavender one for evening tho'.
'Crook as a chook' haha, what a fab saying. I think I may adopt it and see what reactions I get her in NE Scotland. :0)
as always my sweet, you amaze me, they look just like their inspiration. The flavors sound divine.
I so owe you an email, sowwies, thought I'd gotten back to you but woke up last night with a start, realizing I hadn't told you how much I LOVED the new bedding, so i must not have emailed back!! Found your email in the wrong folder this morning. oops.
Hugs,
Jenn
Those are some striking women you painted. Blessings!
Oh my, these look absolutely gorgeous! I think I like your sketches even better than the real thing! Especially love the lavender one. I'll have to see if we get them as well in the shops over here!
Oh my God I am in love with these ladies ....I love the way your colors flow...complete enchantment...total bliss!

Oh my goodness I love those tea girls. SO pretty!! I love the colors and the flowing dresses. Beautiful! :)
The first work looks so halloween. :) I'm always surprised how things can inspire you!
I love your tea ladies! Our Twinings boxes are boring, boring, boring. I hope we get some of these new ones.
The tea packages look so yummy! Too bad I don't really like tea. Love your paintings of them!
Now I'm going to have to find those teas. I think the lavender would be lovely. I SO NEED calming! Getting tired of the teas I have...need new ones. I really do love your drawings, btw. I wish I had them decorating and illustrating my life. I think it would be more interesting that way.
