Workdesk Wednesday

Loving what is on my workdesk at the moment
I have a pic that I painted yesterday
which I kind of didn't like so much
so am having a play with it
which is fun because it really doesn't matter if it becomes
a complete disaster
so I can go a bit mad with it
and not worry about results
always fun right...
and some drawings of some yummy iced tea
which tastes so much better because it is in pretty bottles

and on the other side of the studio
I have lots of cards and notebooks to finish off
which is very rewarding
because I get to see my latest work turned into things
pretty things
not just up on the wall
and the glass tiles I made from my peony painting
are just going to look amazing
as necklaces
if I do say so myself...

Only thing that isn't wonderful this week
is I am still without regular internet
which is driving me a bit mad
and I have to continue to rely on the dongle
and this is a touch temperamental
perhaps he doesn't like that I called him Douglas
though I always quite liked the name Douglas
maybe if I re-name him Dave he will become reliable and a bit boring
of course I apologise to all boring but reliable Daves
who I have offended with the previous statement

so if I don't get to you all I apologise in advance
or if I get to you in dribs and drabs
sorry  for dribbing and drabbing I suppose
and
I have been assured by the phone company that all will be well
this time next week and of course
we all trust the phone companies word don't we
wish me luck...

I'm loving your workdesk. I need more space but limited funds right now. I have boxes and supplies sitting all over the floor. Grr. LOVE your big work space. Happy for you. :)

Happy Tuesday....well, evening. :)

Love your pencil storage! And your tea related drawing are just gorgeous, as usual. I've got some of those little watercolour palettes too. They're great, aren't they? Am wondering why your light is wearing a cover thingy, has it been naughty?

I just LOVE your work desk! I notice you have a cloth bag over your lamp - is that to diffuse the light? what an organized spot you have - it would feel really very peaceful to sit there and create :)

perhaps you could name your gadget David Douglas and give him an air of importance and respectability - perhaps add "Sir" - and then if he still disappoints - off with his head! (lol)

Gorgeous cards and notebooks on your desk and I think the peony pendants are beautiful. I hope Douglas becomes more reliable otherwise you might have to speak quite sternly to the said phone company.

I see you're keeping your newly reorganized space tidy and organized! Can't live with it, can't live without it (the internet)...sigh. Totally loving your peony and the pendant will be so perfect - beautiful as always.

I imagine if I could get organized I might actually be able to create something. Nothing as lovely as your wonderful sketches though -- your amazing peony will make a beautiful necklace. We have wireless internet but sometimes it is soooooooooooo slow or doesn't work at all. Too many people and not enough servers in this country. :/ I loved Kimmie's comment about "Dave". Off with his head. Ha! Have a great rest of the week. Tammy

Love your pics and that peony is gorgeous as a glass tile. Will have to go in and have a look at them in the shop.
I hope you and Douglas part ways very soon and the internet is back in full swing. Have you got a name for the new modem?
Catch up with you when you are fully on the net.

Gorgeous work as always- can I be you when I grow up?
I LOVE Arizona Iced tea! Is it the pretty containers that makes it taste so good? Makes sense!
And your cards and journals (!) how do you finish them off and do you sell them in a local gallery, what's your price point???
Sorry so many questions, but you have my brain RACING here...or maybe that's the coffee?
For now, I'll just leave you with hugs and hope that Douglas (or Dave) lets you get around to visit soon!

So pretty, your paintings are beautiful, I'm so glad I had the pleasure to see some of them yesterday, and finally see your new studio set up.

Oh please do not tell me where I can them, or I might be addicted to them too. They look and sound yum!

Have a great weekend, Tracey.

Hi there, this is my first week visiting WOYWW so thank you for letting me take a peek. I love your artwork. Having a cuppa is my favourite hobby!

I'm trying to visit everyone before next Wednesday which is proving to be quite a task.
Phewph...there's a lot of talent out there.

I've also only just found my art mojo after 12 years (no idea where it went but thankfully it's found me again)

Sorry must dash to get through to everyone :D
