What's not on my workdesk this Wednesday
is Arizona blueberry white tea
because it was guzzled in record time
I kind of figured if I skulled it and didn't look at the calories thingy at the back
then I could pretend it was relatively healthy
this is in fact the diet equivalent of putting your fingers in your ears
and humming loudly
but hey works for me

and the bottle is now residing in the recycle bin
not before I got in and drew and painted it mind
but it was just screaming to be immortalised
so while not on my desk in person at the moment
the painting means it remains in spirit at least

Also not on my desk
the A Tea C's for the swap with Sandra
which I finally got in the post
it took way too long
and I wish I had a great excuse
but can't quite come up with one at the moment
so lets just pretend I sent it a week or so ago
and that Australia Post is really really slow...

My desk is also printer free
and I even have some room for folders I use all the time
and a diary
which I of course never use
but like to use as a paperweight to hold down scraps of paper
which hold important things and dates and reminders
which would be better in the diary
but where is the fun in that...

So the printer is now over here
along with some of my treasures
and it is over here

The studio is finally finished
well the outward appearance is finished
there are still some scary draws
but I will get to them soon
Lots of pics and the story is in the previous post
I was going to save it for the weekly desk stalk
but I couldn't wait
so posted about it yesterday

Also not on my desk is a finished painting of a peony
which I really really wanted to have finished for today

but instead it is only part of the way along
which I blame on everything but me
so my submission for the Monthly Painter's Challenge
is a photo
which feels like kind of a cop out
and the topic was Micro/macro
which did my head in
and I was going to paint the Peony
but then I decided a rose would be my subject
after seeing these glorious apricot roses at the florist
and I tried to paint this a million times
okay at least three times
and every time it didn't come close to the photo I took
so I decided the photo would be it...

Hope everyone has an amazing Wednesday
and head over to WOYWW
hosted by the lovely Julia
to stalk some desks with me
I have missed it terribly in the last few weeks
so can't wait to have a nose around
and see what everyone has been up to...xx

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!
I've been a follower of your for quite sometime now - inspired by your sketches and paintings (like today's tea bottle)!
Hope you can find that teapot cookie cutter - you may just want to sketch it too!

OMG your desk and work space are officially gorgeous. I have to say the peony is divine and I am sure your rose attempts were probably pretty good. I cannot wait for my OZ post envelope (I have not peeked) so I will be surprised and probably run screaming towards the mailman and frighten him. Have a good week.

Love your white tea bottle drawing! I just scrolled down and now I am hyperventilating with envy at your gorgeous studio! I will have to go and have a cup of tea, even though I am still at work and would rather go home!

Was in raptures by your painting of the bottle but then as I neared the bottom of your blogpost for today I saw the flowers. Cor, lovely partial Peony painting and I do love the rose photo. Talent! You have it!
Love the room too by the way.
Don't forget to call in and check our my blog candy - it closes late tonight and I should be drawing tomorrow. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Neet 29 (wish that was my age and I was where I am now in life - crafting yum yum)

I think the painting is coming along nicely and will be anxious to see it when it's finished. I've never tried that particular tea and now I want to. But I love their Plum Tea.

Love your new workspace. I also really like that painting of the tea bottle. Sounds like your trip to IKEA is like most of mine. Thank God they offer up Swedish Meatballs in the cafeteria that makes it all worthwhile! Hope you have a great week and thanks for sharing. Don't forget my blog candy is still up for grabs so drop by and leave a comment and make sure you are a follower. Vickie #64

There is a lot NOT on your desk today, lol... love that bottle of tea. I have never heard of blueberry white tea, we obviously don't get it here! I like the idea of you drinking it whilst holding your fingers in your ears humming that sounds very clever....

Funny how we name our technology :) So many people have named their Craft Robos ROBBIE you have to wonder if that really IS it's name. Murray the Modem is new :) I've never been one to name my car or my Mac but I do tend to attribute cruel intentions to my ISP when it's being slow and aggravating, like today. I wouldn't share what I call it on those days - far too rude :)

Love the peony - so pretty. Nature is amazing, in a grand sweep or close detail.

Murray modem??? LOL. This could be a fun new game - how about Percy Printer, Kevin Keyboard and Lawrence Laptop?? The name Lawrence always makes me think of a rather rakish gentleman, twiddling his....moustache!! What did you think I was going to say....?!
Sorry, I'll stop being stupid. Your new craft area is gleamingly gorgeous and tidy - you're going to have such fun in there!

Wonderful new craft room and I loved reading the post of how it came into being. Beautiful little treasures in your room too, is that a Tibetan Singing Bowl next to your printer? I laughed out loud at your comment about trying to get your feet on the desk! Best leave the complicated stuff to the professionals, lol. Have fun admiring your new room!

Well, that wasn't good of Murray to up and die like that. Humph. Your studio looks ASOLUTELY ACE, you mus tbe loving it. Each month I go to a lot of trouble (OK 10 mins) to make a calendar page for the big frame in the hall...we never use it..I carry dates on scraps...horrible habit! The peony painting makes me breathless, it's quite beautiful.

Wow, your studio makeover is fabulous. I don't use my diary for its intended purpose too - it all goes in Outlook on my PC instead ... and talking of computers, it really was too bad of Murray to give up on you :) Hope you are having a lovely weekend. Elizabeth x #114
