Day 16 of AEDM
and following the lead of so many others who
are jumping in and getting all sorts
of projects finished
I have finally
finally
finally
finally
finished the
Gerbera
which has been taunting me
every time I opened the draw
and reminding me that I still need to practise skills
and observation
and colour
all while it
was doing my head in
even though I set the time limit
and only spent a couple hours on it today to
finally
finally
get it done ...
problem is I think
it may have
driven me slightly
mad!
No more botanicals this year
is my new mantra!!!!

Lucky for you, the year is almost over. Just a little over a month of no more botanicals, then you go mad again.
But it looks quite lovely.
These are delightful Tracey! Good on you for finishing it. Good idea to pull out some unfinished work for the AEDM. I might do some linos! I love gerberas, have 4 in my garden. i look forward to your next botanical!
Your Gerbera just pop! :)
Stay inspired!
Wow, these are stunning Tracey, so glad you persisted with them.
I agree with the others. These are stunning, and so vibrant.

So lovely. The color is fabulous and I love the composition of the three flowers. Beautiful!
Absolutely amazing! The detail and vividness of the flowers is breath-taking!
These daisies have such personality! The colors are beautiful and I love that each bloom has it's own stance and attitude. It really brings this drawing to life....thanks for sharing!
Wow, this is beautiful! The colors are vibrant and details really make it life-like. I can't stop looking at it. Glad you got around to completing it!
Love these daisies! they are so vibrant and full of personality - looks like the three of them are having quite the discussion. Beautiful work Tracey.
Beautiful. Cheery, sunny and welcome on this dreary day
Oh, this is lovely. Just stunning. I so enjoy coming here every day!

A wonderful finish on the Gerberas, Tracey! I have quite a few unfinished projects laying around. I should get onto them but I'm enjoying starting new ventures this month....maybe next month, I'll finish them. ;)
so sunny and pretty!
I love this! Daisies truly are the friendliest flowers... and you've got the shading done perfectly... they look so lifelike!
And I like how you're still working the "O"range theme. :-)
What a beautiful result!! Congrats on finishing a long delayed project!
So glad you finished--it's pretty pretty pretty!
nah, reckon you were mad before the gerbera ;) sorry, couldn't resist that one! Lovely flower
That flower is superb and never give up on the botanicals, you were mad way before you started even doing the first botanical lessons. You must have been, you made friends with me :)
Haha Yay! It cannot taunt you any more it has turned out lovely. Other people may be getting projects done but I for one cannot produce something as accurate as this - I do try (...sometimes!) to sit down and spend two hours on something, I just can't seem to slow down my hand, and will end up with a finished piece in 10-30 mins, but at a fraction of the skill you show here. Thanks for sharing it x
Tracey, thank you for commenting on my blog...
i LOVE your style!! My jaw literally dropped when i saw your work. Beautiful. I'll surely be visiting now & again... :-)
I must say your botanicals are some of the loveliest I've ever seen!!! xoxo
(BTW, thanks for the nudge on adding another layer to my painting...I played around with that today...) :)
This is beautiful. I love the three views. Worth the wait! Just lovely.
They're absolutely beautiful!
