Day 2 and sharing the love

Day two and cruising through this challenge thing... what was a stressing about... oh that's right 28 days to go!! Luckily I have found so many new blogs to inspire me and have seen so much great work that I feel totally as though I can make it to the end of the week at least!!! So here is a Chrysanthemum to prove that I can draw things other than tea related stuff. Mind you it is easier to spell tea than Chrysanthemum... thank goodness for spell check, it looked like I was going to have to end up typing pretty flower instead.

Other news is that I was given this surprising and much appreciated  award by Gloria over at New End Studio and it was a very sweet gesture, just when I felt like I needed a bit of attention. Now the rules are that I have to tell you seven things about myself that you might not know and then hand this on to 15 bloggers who I think deserve it!!

7 things... here goes
  1. I have no coordination whatsoever... not kidding... putting on shoes can be dangerous, and I have been known to stab myself, and others, repeatedly with kitchen implements just while doing the dishes!!
  2. I never owned a bike growing up... my sister aka Patsy Perfect, had this awesome bike and I got a scooter... yes a scooter, and not one of those cool ones with fat wheels, but one with diddy skinny wheels that tipped me off at a moment's notice... actually considering my coordination maybe it is time I forgive my parents for this one.
  3. I now own my first piece of pink clothing after many many years of being horrified at the thought... it is the hottest watermelon pink I could find and will be a summer staple I am sure.
  4. I am really really good at directing chores in the garden and love having a nice garden, but hate dirt so try to avoid actually being in the garden too much... unless I feel like gardening and then watch me go, I am up to my elbows in the stuff.
  5. I own way too many books, and whether they have been read or not, I believe they make me smarter.
  6. I like tea... I know you are shocked but there you go!
  7. I am starting to like getting up at the crack of dawn... my daughter Steve is an early riser and being the good parent that I occasionally am, I get up with her, not quite at the actual time she gets up, but within and hour or so, and then I mercilessly bitch and groan about how early it is, each and every school morning just so she knows she has a parent and that she is loved.
16 Blogs I would share this with, because 15 just isn't enough, in no particular order, are:
  1. Tracey Potter
  2. Jaz Higgins
  3. Terri at Creative Explorer
  4. Vonny K Art and Jewelery
  5. Kristin Dudish
  6. I am Rushmore
  7. Jenniebellie
  8. Manon
  9. Marcia
  10. The Wright Stuff
  11. Falling Ladies
  12. Muddy Mama
  13. Sarah Wiske
  14. Molly
  15. Dragonfly designs studio
  16. Kristin - Twinkle Twinkle
Of course there are about 15 more I would like to add to this list but it would just get embarrassing! Happy day 2 all and thanks for the wonderful comments and feedback... it has been such a great start  and also linking with What's on your Workdesk Wednesday

Your 'pretty flower' comment made me smile, your blog always does, great to see you are not losing your humor, as you feared you would with posting every day. And that Pink shirt, can you wear it tomorrow when we meet! I'd love to see it. Thanks for the AWARD! I feel very special, especially being at the top (even if there is no order).

Well hey, I see my name there!! Thank you!

I love your flower (note I did not try to spell). It is perfectly drawn and flowers are always so fiddly.

I am smiling and thinking that it´s much easier to spell the flowers name in swedish: krysantemum :)

Your c...flower is lovely (so bright and delicate). I just want to lift it off the page and run my fingers through the petals. Your description of yourself made me smile...as someone else with little coordination.

A pretty flower sketch! Yes, a flower with a big name probably because of the gazillion petals. :)

I like my tea too and am up at 4am on week days because my son needs to get up that early for work and I drive him to the bus stop. Luckily, I've always been an early bird ~

Will check in with you tomorrow,
Serena

What a lovely chrysanthemum! I remember when adopting my older daughter from China there was chrysanthemum tea. Had no idea it even existed before going there. See that you like tea...it may be an interesting flavor for you to try! :)

Thank goodness for spell check, indeed! I loved your teacups yesterday and this "pretty flower" is a wonderful follow-up! You're off to a great start!

I am glad to read that I am not the only one lacking coordination! So far I have only seriously injured myself, but I am going to show #1 to my husband and keep my fingers crossed that it gets me out of doing dishes (the safety of others is at stake, after all!) Hahaha!

Thank you so much for including me in your list - such a lovely surprise that brought a great big smile to my face :)

Kristin, I am soooo enjoying your blog. You have an amazing sense of humor and I'm sure there is no way your posts will become boring!!! I'm also very uncoordinated. Have been my whole life. In fact when I was small I had a hard time trying to figure out if my name was really Debi or Grace. They were used interchangeably my whole childhood! Love your lovely watercolor painting... you're off to a smashing start of the first week!
HuGGs! ;-)

I feel you on the bike - didn't have one as a child, and never really got the hang of them as an adult. Maybe it's just my bad balance.

Nice chrys... er, flower!

I can relate to some of those things. Tea rocks! I love those pots hanging in front of you - they must be such an inspiration with all the colours there.

Thankyou so much for the award Tracey, don't know what to say. I am so new to the whole blogging concept, still feeling my way and it really means a lot that you would include me in this award. Thanks again. Now I just have to figure out how to pass it on. You may get a help me email shortly (he he).

Your blog has made me chuckle this evening. There are way too many "m"s in Chrysanthemum for my liking. In fact, there are way too many of everything! Just call them Mums. Mind you, that could get confusing.

Love your desk space - your room looks light and airy. Nice....

The chrysanthemum is very lovely:) I also am very uncoordinated and stab myself while washing dishes. Whenever I do any hand sewing, I usually end up bleeding.

Love the design of your blog header. Good luck with posting every day:) I did that throughout October and it wasn't as difficult as I thought!

We have also got far too many books, and only get rid of any when they totally disintegrate. At least, that is what used to happen. We now each have a Kindle and are gradually building the stock of books on there. Means we can both read the same book at the same time, if we wish, and we don't have to constantly stick books together again. We can also take hundreds of books on holiday without adding expensive weight. I also had a scooter, when they were seriously uncool, and everyone else had a bike. Not sure I ever got over that one.
