The Chrysanthathingy

The Chrysanthemum is finished and I now have a pair
which is nice
but not as nice as I thought they would be
need a bit more white on today's
so it matches this a bit better

but it is rainy and grey
and still stinking hot and humid
so the paper won't dry
and the gouache is seeping through
so it can wait until tomorrow ...

Started laying in the colour for the tea cup stack
and had the same sort of problem...
but it is progressing
so I will take that as a win
and get back to it tonight when it cools off a little...

and don't forget the

and last
but not least...

happy turkey day to all the Us of A er's who are doing AEDM
hope you have all had a restful and fun day
filled with family and not too many dishes ...

it's lovely to follow your progress... btw it's pretty humid where I'm at too, so waiting for things to dry and such is annoying... or i'm just impatient!

I think your Chrysanthemums are wonderful :). My art studio is very damp in the summer and when I started using acrylics they wouldn't dry. I thought everyone was nuts saying acrylics dry real fast. lol
Stay inspired!

Oooooo... A pair of 'mums (much easier to spell). Good luck with getting them to match. It's damp here to too, but no heat to go with it.

Enjoyed seeing the tea cups as a work in progress. Even with just the hint of color, it's easy to tell that it will be another beautiful piece!

And that´s why I consider the hair dryer one of my tools and you can see it on my working table almost every day. ;)
Beautiful flowers! Lovely colours on the cups.

The chrysanthemums are lovely, Tracey! the rain certainly didn't cool things down too much, that's for sure. The teacup stack is coming along beautifully ~ :)

Loving the stack 'o cups and it can be frustrating with humidity causing things to dry slower than a snail's pace. Thank you for the holiday wishes. Time for me to go tickle the turkey!

I really love and appreciate the delicate pattern on those tea cups:) Just beautiful.
Perhaps you could sell the patern idea to a crockery manufacturing company!

Tracey, your flowers are beautiful! i love your style...
Hope it's not so "stinking hot & humid" there anymore. :-)
We got our first snowfall last night, so it's anything but hot & humid.
