Desk Stalking

It doesn't get much better than being asked to poke around and have a look at someone's work space... you see all their delicious little bits and bobs and while some of the work desks I have been looking at this morning would make Martha Stewart look disorganised, I have also joyously gazed upon random messiness and a million unfinished projects, and just in general gotten to have a good old sticky beak.

Now normally my desk is a bit of a nightmare as I work in my tiny cave, and while I do like organisation and order to an extent, over the last few weeks it has taken on monumentally nightmarish proportions, with tea cups teetering on piles of prints, and brushes slowly solidifying in jars of water that could in fact by classed a hazard by the EPA. However earlier in the week I spent a day getting it all back into working order and so it is looking pretty fine. It will possibly not look this good again for another six months, so I decided to join in the fun at What's on your Workdesk Wednesday. It is rarely we get invited to be nosy so you should head on over and have a look... I am telling you it is great fun... OK slightly creepy that it is such fun, but hey if you admit it is creepy doesn't that mean it isn't creepy any more?

So on my obscenely clean desk is the journal page from hell... not only is it just not working, and I have no idea where to go next with it, but it is actually a paint over of another page that also didn't work... maybe the page is cursed or something... no clue what I am going to do with it though... think I might go desk stalk some more people instead!!

I think the problem is the desk. How could you think with everything so clean?

I love your "White" themed desk! Sometimes when I don't like where my work is going, I leave it and work on something else. When I go back to it with fresh ideas, I'll be bubbling with ideas! I think your page is really interesting and might be one of your favorites one day if you don't give up on it! Life is like that sometimes, isn't it?

Aha - a whole day to tidy..like the sound of that - itmeans you have to WOYWW most weeks now so that we can see the descent (and we will barely notice if it happens slowly!)
I'm loving the look of your space, it does have organisation and good light...golly, are you a professional?!

I love the pots of pencils. At least you can get to them. Mine get buried somehow. In fact everything gets buried. LOL
Happy WOYWW

I think that page looks great, but if you don't like it, put it somewhere that you see it several times a day, and just let the ideas come when they are ready. I stick my problems on the mantelpiece until inspiration hits.

There are some projects that just seem to be determined not to work whatever you try and do - I take the hint and give 'em up!! Nice workspace there, don't think mine's ever been that tidy, lol!

Oooh, I love your workspace! It is so bright and clean and organized. I think your journal page looks great so far, maybe you just need a break from it and come back to it with "fresh eyes"?
Thanks for visiting me earlier!

That picture is gorgeous and your desk is a thing of beauty that I can only dream of, being such a grot myself. Couldn't put my desk onto the what's on your workdesk, it would give people nightmares!

I love, love, love your space!! I want to have all my pens and pencils out in tubs and jars and things like yours but I just don't have the space so have to keep them all packed away :( (or strooned everywhere while working - whatever works best lol). Sorry too busy ranting to say how great your page looks - your page looks great :) much love Jennibellie

The colours on your journalling page are beautiful I hope you don't give up on. I think I would create a style of carved pumpkin silhouette into it. Good luck.

Now everytime i bloghop I'll be thinking I'm stalking someone lol.

Maybe doing something 'haliweenie' with you journal page....using it as a background to hide what you don't lije? I don't do journalling so that is probably a naff idea lol.

Happy belated WOYWW !
